New Oxeo Extinguishing Systems Utilize Inert Gases to Protect Critical Equipment, Complex Electronics and Class D Fire Hazards

Oxeo

Hastings, Michigan – The Viking Corporation announced today the availability of the new cULus Listed and FM Approved Oxeo extinguishing system, a unique solution for high-challenge fire scenarios due to its use of Nitrogen or Argon. Unlike foam or water suppression, these two naturally occurring components of the ambient air leave no residue on sensitive electronic equipment and result in no secondary damage, making them well-suited for data centers and other similar applications.

Oxeo extinguishing systems provide rapid fire extinguishing with inert gases and reduce potential damage as the result of a fire. Once the fire is suppressed, gas can be extracted from the room making entry into enclosed facilities or walk-in rooms safe again. “Oxeo is truly a unique extinguishing system that offers a lot of great advantages for customers looking to protect complex electronics or metal fire hazards,” says Martin Workman, Viking’s Vice President – Product Management.

Oxeo extinguishing systems utilize two inert gases, Nitrogen and Argon, that are excellent for extinguishing Class A-C fires, with Argon being especially useful for Class D fires. With an 80L tank capacity, 2,901 psi (200 bar) or 4,351 psi (300 bar) pressure rating, and customized racking as part of the complete system, Oxeo extinguishing systems offer the industry electronically non-conductive inert gases that result in no environmental impact.
